Clam Chowder

Potatoes cut sm.
A lot of clam grounds
3 sticks celery, chopped
Onions chopped fine
Any herbs on hand
A chunk of salt pork
A bucket of salt water
Wine (not red)
Cream


Saute onions in salt pork. When onions are golden and shiny put in potatoes, celery, clams and herbs with enough water and wine to cover. As it begins bubbling put cream in a pan and cook slowly until it bubbles like the chowder. Then pour the cream into the chowder. Cook until it smells good!!!
