Clam and Corn Chowder

1 sm. onion, diced
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. diced potatoes
1 c. water
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans clams, minced or chopped
2 (17 oz.) cans cream style corn
2 cans (equal amount) milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. dried dill weed


Saute onion in butter until soft. Add flour and mix well. Add potatoes and water. Simmer 5-10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer again. Continue cooking for 15-20 minutes and serve. Serves 6.
