Oyster Casserole

1 pint stewing Oysters
1/2 stick butter
Salt and pepper
Cracker crumbs (e.g.,Ritz)
1 egg, beaten


Butter 2-quart casserole. Layer with half the Oysters, dot with butter, salt and pepper to taste. Cover with cracker crumbs. Repeat all layers. Pour egg over top. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
